Xander is built uphill and is very sturdy and sound with correct conformation. He has a very wide chest and is muscular.  He was raced 4 times as a 4 year old in CA, then bought by a Grand Prix professional jumper rider/trainer Kerry Bernay, who said he has Grand Prix potential. (She rode in Spruce Meadows and was a trainer at Sycamore Trails in CA). She bought him and started jumping him as a 5 year old until she got pregnant. He then was in pasture for quite a few years but is back to work again at 11. I am showing the 3' jumpers without problem. He will land on the correct lead if you are looking where you want to go, he has solid lead changes and is adjustable. He takes confidence from a relaxed rider, teens at my old barn and my trainer LOVE him. He has done work over gymnastic grids and bounces. He has good form and is careful. He longes very well in side reins or the pessoa. His ground manners are good, he loads, bathes, clips, cross-ties and gets along well with other horses.
